Route Insurance "Green Package Protection"
By not selecting shipping protection, Don's Wine is not liable for lost, damaged or stolen items
The option for Route Insurance ("Green Package Protection") shows up as a separate line item in your shopping cart at the time purchase. We are using a third-party shipping insurance company to cover instances of shipments that are lost, damaged or stolen. In the case something goes wrong with the delivery, refer to the email from Route insurance and follow the instructions for replacement or reimbursement. FedEx/UPS is not taking claims on the vast majority of shipments these days, which is the why we provide this option for our customers.
Extreme Weather Warning
Prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold (above 80 degrees, below freezing) may spoil wine. If you are shipping wine outside the West Coast and are experiencing such weather, we highly recommend choosing an expedited shipping method or requesting us to delay shipment until conditions return to normal. donswine.com and our shipping carriers are not responsible for wine being spoiled during transit and weather related spoilage is not covered by the shipping company insurance.
When will my order ship and what are my shipping charges?
Orders usually ship 1-2 days after received. Shipping is automatically calculated prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the Checkout page where you will be offered Shipping Method choices and their prices.
- The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.
- All orders placed usually ship out within 1-4 business days.
- Orders placed on Friday after business hours, Saturday or Sunday will be shipped out 3-5 business days from the following Monday
- Shipments may be delivered on Saturday or Sunday
- We do not guarantee any shipping delivery dates all dates are estimated.
- We cannot ship to PO boxes or APO/FPO addresses
- We do not ship outside the U.S.

All merchandise from Don's Wine is sold in California and title passes to buyer in California. By placing your order, you authorize Don's Wine to engage a common carrier on your behalf to deliver the merchandise to your specified address. We make no representation as to the legal right of anyone to ship or import wines into any state or country outside of California. When selecting to ship to another state, you assume all responsibility for determining whether you may lawfully import alcoholic beverages into that state. As interstate shipping laws are continually changing, please check with an appropriate agency before placing your order.
Please note that interstate shipments may incur additional taxes and tariffs from the final destination location. These additional fees are the responsibility of the customer.
Return & Exchange Policy
By California state law, we are not allowed to accept returns for any reason. We do not accept returns or exchanges for spoiled wine, spirit or beer. Changes in personal taste preferences or dissatisfaction with a particular wine, spirit or beer are not eligible reasons for return or exchange. Batch, year, bottle design, photos, titles, descriptions or other variances are not guaranteed to be correct in any listing. These listings are best effort additions but are not perfect and may include mistakes. Please contact us if any of the aforementioned are important to you before placing your order. If your item was delivered damaged, incorrect, or you received the wrong product, please email us at email@example.com and we will work with you to replace or fix your order when appropriate.
It is the recipient's responsibility to receive the shipment in a timely matter including and providing the correct address. If for whatever reason the shipment is returned back to sender, the outbound shipping fee is non-refundable. Additionally, customers will incur additional charges for the full cost of initial shipment AND the full cost of the returned shipment. Fedex/UPS return shipments are costly so be careful entering the correct address and being available for the package.
